General Overview:
Ylang ylang is a base or middle note oil, said to helpful in dealing with anxiety, panic, and shock. It is also believed to assist with feelings of resentment, guilt and/or jealousy. The oil has long been said to have substantial aphrodisiac qualities - thus its common use in sensual Massage - a perfect valentines oil!.

Ylang-ylang Essential OilThe oil is steam distilled from the flowers of a tall tree native to the Philippines and Far East. The name means ‘flower of flowers’ - these flowers come in many colors, with the yellow ones said to produce the highest quality oils.

Ylang ylang is also known to have a balancing impact on one’s hormonal system - in Indonesia Ylang ylang flower petals are strewn upon the bed on wedding nights.

The oil blends well with Clary Sage, Geranium, Lavender, and Cedarwood oils.

Ylang ylang can irritate sensitive skin, and care should be taken when using on individuals with Fragrance related sensitivities.
